Many people in every community including ours suffer various afflictions that impair their abilities to stand, walk or run. These include birth deformities, injuries, arthritis among a few other conditions. Modern orthopaedic surgery can correct many of these conditions and transform peoples lives. Operation Stand-Walk-Run (OSWR) has been established with a mission to enable Nigerian patients benefit from the advances in orthopaedic surgery that many in other countries are privileged to have. We intend to play a role in this process through training of surgeons, developing facilities, advocacy and humanitarian care.
